Angry Birds developer Rovio from Finnish is one of a series of mobile games that managed to reap success in the market.
In the event Startup Asia 2014 held in Jakarta, Thursday (11/27/2014), Chief Marketing Office Peter Vesterbacka share a few tips for startups alias startup to be in the business of game development.
"The main thing is you have to have passion for what you do," said Versterbacka started. Passion is called is important because it determines the consistency and fighting spirit in the company concerned.
"There is no instant success story. Rovio itself makes dozens title game before finally managed to Angry Birds," he said.
The next tips are a matter of product differentiation. A game, according Versterbacka, should be able to "stand-out" in a sea of games on the market. "For every kind of game 'Angry Birds' there are thousands of other games. Not everything can be managed."
Last but not least, Versterbacka talk about branding marketing aka gaming products concerned. A good product according absolutely accompanied by the promotion of good anyway.
"You have to be serious about this branding. You see, no matter how good the products you make, all it will mean nothing if nobody knows," he added.
